Skal International India opened its 12th Club under the name of Skal International Srinagar. The club was formed with 21 members – consists of hoteliers, travel and tour operators and adventure specialists. Ibrahim Siah has been appointed as the Founder President and Nasir Shah as Secretary of the Skal International Srinagar. In the august presence of industry veteran including Saleem Baig, Mahmood Shah and Rakesh Gupta, Syed Abid Rasheed Shah – District Development Commissioner graced the occasion as the Chief Guest of the Chapter Night.
While speaking on the occasion, National President of the Club, Ranjini Nambiar said there are lot travel advisories worldwide about Kashmir regarding safety and lot of people did not know about Kashmir in many parts of the world. “Through Skal, we will promote Kashmir globally. The state will be featured in the newsletter and everybody worldwide gets to understand this place being one of the beautiful places in the world and safe to travel. We will encourage people from all parts of the world to travel Kashmir,” she said.
Former Director Tourism Kashmir, Mehmood Ahmad Shah and one of the members of the organization while speaking on the occasion said that the Skal will give the tourism industry an opportunity to network with the people globally and this will address the negativity of Kashmir tourism across the globe.
