Shibil Malik has been appointed the first General Manager of Sheraton Grand Chennai Resort & Spa – the premium resort property coming up on the East Coast Road of Chennai. He will be responsible for launching the new resort and positioning it as a destination in itself for unique experiences like no other.
Through his unwavering commitment to service excellence, Shibil plans to ensure the resort features amongst the best in the country. His dedication and enthusiasm is admired and emulated by his colleagues.
Shibil has previously held various positions in the company and has been associated with Marriott’s premium distinct and classic brands – The Westin & Sheraton. Prior to this assignment, he was the General Manager of Sheraton, Hyderabad where he headed a challenging assignment of successfully repositioning a conversion hotel.
With a broad spectrum of hospitality experience over the years, he has played a crucial role in strategizing, re-positioning and assisting in brand augmentation of many prestigious hotels in the country. He brings a wealth of experience of a total of 18 years to the position, complemented by highly respected sales excellence.
Shibil is an avid Golfer and a gourmet who loves to explore the world, global cuisines and keeps himself abreast with the latest food trends and concepts.

It is an ammazing property i have ever seen in resort in India but the only thing leave me wonder is why copper is used in building and how is it safe to use copper near the salt water of beach?
