Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) has elected its new Managing Committee for the term 2021-23. In a close competition with Lally Mathews of Divine Voyages – the Presidential candidate of ‘Team for Change’, Rajiv Mehra of Uday Tours – Former Vice President and candidate from the team ‘Moving Forward’ won the battle with a margin of 11 votes. Mehra got 166 votes whereas 155 votes were casted in the favour of Mathews.
E.M. Najeeb (177), Ravi Gosain (166), Rajnish Kaistha (162), Sunil Mishra (183) and Sanjay Razdan have been elected as Sr. Vice President, Vice President, Hony. Secretary, Hony. Treasure and Joint Secretary respectively.
Harish Mathur 182 (TC), Tony Marwah 180 (TC)’ Deppak Bhatnagar 166 (MF)’Manoj Mata 166 (MF), and Vishal Yaday 164 has been elected as EC Member-Active. Zia Siddiqui 271, Vijay Sarathi 213, Ashok Dhoot 203 were elected as EC –Allied.
Rajiv Mehra, President IATO said that it’s very important for the team to be united and work together especially at this point of time. The newly elected President thanked all the members of the fraternity who have supported and extended an opportunity to work for the industry. He is confident that that irrespective of the differences the entire EC will work together for benefits of the members.
