Rajeev Kohli takes over as the President of Euromic

Euromic – the association of the world’s 52 leading and most celebrated DMC’s held its AGM in Cascais Portugal from January 17th-19th.

Rajeev Kohli, Joint Managing Director of Creative Travel India has been elected as the association’s new President taking over the mantle from the existing President, Hasan Dinc from ODS Turkey. Euromic – the association of the world’s 52 leading and most celebrated DMC’s held its Annual General Meeting in Cascais Portugal from the 17-19th January where new board members and President were elected.
The newly elected President of Euromic, Rajeev Kohli has a strong history of association management including being global President of Society for Incentive Travel Excellence (SITE), being the only President in to serve two consecutive terms. Also, he was the first ever industry leader from Asia to lead the association (SITE). During his tenure as SITE Global President, a dynamic industry leader Kohli added his own special magic to the job by utilizing his vast experience of travel trade business.
He has also served on the boards of the India Convention Promotion Bureau (ICPB), Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) and the American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA) amongst his other volunteer work.
Expressing his views on this achievement, Rajeev Kohli says that he is proud, honoured and humbled to have been elected President of one of the world’s oldest DMC associations in the world. He will be leading this team for the next two years along with Eduarda Neves (Portugal Travel Team) as the Vice President along with this great looking board of Hasan Dinc (Turkey and Immediate Past President), Karim El Minabawy (Egypt), Victor Canizares (Spain), László Pásztor (Hungary), Michael Argiri (Greece) and Michael Kater (Germany) supported by Huw Tuckett (Executive Director),Oliver Hone (Assistant Director) and Joe Lustenberger (Director Americas).

Euromic also welcomed a new Vice President Eduarda Neves from Portugal Travel team and new board member Michael Kater, MD of Compass Tours Incoming Germany. Continuing on the board are Victor Cañizares of Spanish Heritage Spain, Laszlo Pastor of Blaguss Hungary, Karim El Minabawy of Emeco Travel Egypt, Michael Argiri of Concept Tours Greece and Hasan Dinc of ODS Turkey who stays on as immediate Past President.
Euromic is one of the oldest DMC consortiums in the travel industry. A non-profit marketing association is wholly-owned by its members, who rank among the world’s leading DMCs. Members to Euromic is by initiation only and only one DMC per destination is allowed.
