Rajasthan – one of the most proactive states promoting tourism and hospitality sector at the highest level has launched the Film Tourism Policy 2022 at the outset of the inaugural session of the second edition of Rajasthan Domestic Travel Mart jointly organised by Rajasthan Tourism and Federation of Hospitality and Tourism of Rajasthan (FHTR).
State’s Film Tourism Policy has been put under the Department of Tourism, Government of Rajasthan. The newly launched FTP 2022 aims to have provisions that will provide financial assistance, awards and cash incentives to the film makers from regional, national and international fronts.
While speaking at the launch, Gayatri Rathore, Principal Secretary, Department of Tourism said that after having such a robust Film Tourism Policy with attractive incentives and subsidies, Rajasthan will get further momentum in shooting of films across the state.
Talking about the policy, she further said, “Formulated after considering the suggestions made by industry stakeholders through various online and offline channels, this is the best Film Tourism Policy released by the State of Rajasthan.”
Based on the provisions made in the FTP 2022, the state government will give incentives in terms of cash on the basis of the actual screen time given by the film, showing or depicting Rajasthan’s destination.
The production of the Rajasthani films (small but strong market) which has suffered in recent years would get a special package which is more likely to encourage producers to make Rajasthani films apart from the national and other regional languages.
