A highly-accomplished professional with a diversified selling experience and excellent organizational skills, Priyanku Mahanta is currently employed with Courtyard by Marriot, Siliguri in the key position of Director of Sales.
He has been associated with this esteemed hotel since its pre-opening days – his unstinting contribution in managing all the relevant departments i.e. Sales, Marketing, Reservation and Revenue, for the launch as well as day-to-day operations was noteworthy and highly appreciated by the management.
In his present role, the goal-driven Priyanku is already an asset for Courtyard by Marriot, Siliguri by leveraging his in-depth experience to influence stakeholders and translate ideas into results. He brings to the table detailed sales methodologies and an ability to provide effective solutions to complex challenges.
His key responsibility areas include developing and executing sales strategies, maximizing revenue, managing selling-oriented activities, analyzing sales figures and ensuring exceptional customer service.
Recruitment-training-mentoring of the sales team, working in tandem with off-property sales channels and associating with trade events to forge key relationships with GSO team members, market leaders as well as customers are also some of the other significant engagements that fall under the ambit of his job profile.
Prior to joining Courtyard by Marriot, Siliguri, Priyanku has proved his mettle as Sales Manager with top-of-the-line hospitality brands like Novotel Kolkata Hotel and Residences and Le Meridien, Jaipur. He had also successfully contributed in the opening of the Country Inn& Suites by Radisson, Mysuru and Radisson Blu Hotel, Guwahati.
In addition to these feathers in his cap, his astute business acumen was honed early in his career by dint of his exposure to other big players in the industry such as ITC Windsor, Bengaluru and Hotel Royal Orchid, Bengaluru.
