LOT Polish Airlines opens first business lounge outside Poland

At Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD), Star Alliance member LOT Polish Airlines, has opened its first international location. The new 617 sqm business lounge is open daily from 7:00am until midnight. It is located in Terminal 5 directly after the security checkpoints and close to the boarding gates.
The new lounge in Chicago stands for a mixture of comfort and modern elegance. The minimalist design picks up on typical Polish elements and uses amber-coloured materials, for example. Its three areas invite up to 167 guests to relax, work and dine.
Fast Wi-Fi for streaming or video conferencing, shower facilities, automatically darkening windows, a wide range of dining options including vegetarian, vegan as well as halal, all with a great view of the airport apron, are among the many amenities.
“Chicago has been an integral part of our global route network for more than 50 years. In 2023 alone, we carried more than 250,000 passengers between Poland and Chicago” says Amit Ray, Director India, DACH Markets, Italy + Malta and Head of Global Corporate and Strategic Sales at LOT Polish Airlines.
“We are therefore very pleased to have opened our first business lounge outside of Poland at this important location for LOT Polish Airlines. Eligible passengers travelling from Chicago via Warsaw to Delhi and Mumbai can now enjoy the new facility on the ground prior to their LOT Boeing 787 Dreamliner flight,” he further informed.
The LOT Business Lounge in Chicago is open to all Business Class passengers of the Polish flag carrier as well as guests with Star Alliance Gold status (and an international flight) of any Star member carrier.
Passengers with Miles & More FTL status departing from Chicago to Warsaw can also visit the lounge, regardless of the ticketed booking class.
LOT Polish Airlines is a modern carrier connecting Central and Eastern Europe with the rest of the world. LOT’s offer includes, inter alia, direct long-haul flights to airports in the United States, Canada, China, Japan, South Korea, India.
