Almost after 18 months of abrogation of Article 370, the High-speed internet mobile services are being restored in the valley. Not only that, getting a step closer towards normalcy and boom in tourism business, the UT of Jammu and Kashmir has received a delegation of several Bollywood production houses for their upcoming projects. Members of the delegation have visited Kashmir for exploring scenic locations for their future projects.
With many projects being shot in the Valley, Kashmir aspires to become Bollywood’s favourite shooting destination again. A slew of videos, capturing the essence of the music and singing of some most prolific musical talents have lately been shot in the Valley.
Representatives of production houses like Ajay Devgun Films, Sanjay Dutt Productions, Reliance Entertainment, Rohit Shetty Films, Zee Studios, Adhikari Brothers and SAB (Marathi), Endemol, Rajkumar Hirani and Excel Entertainment were part of the delegation. Besides production houses, representatives from Producers Guild, Mumbai, have also come to the Valley.
The members interacted with media, travel and trade associations and valley’s film and line producers during their stay in the summer capital of the union territory. The delegation explored the locations in Pahalgam before returning to Mumbai.
According to the Director Tourism of Jammu & Kashmir the newly formed UT has been receiving good response from Bollywood filmmakers since the opening of the tourism here, in addition to the country’s regional entertainment houses for shooting song sequences and commercial advertisements.
Celebrities who recently visited Kashmir included singers Jubin Nautiyal, Guru Randhawa, Salman Ali, former actress and model Sana Khan, music composer Salim Merchant, TV host and anchor Aditya Narayan, besides business tycoon Anil Ambani.
