Jamaican Prime Minister Holness invites investors, wedding planners

In a groundbreaking moment for India-Jamaica relations, Honourable Prime Minister Andrew Holness visited India for his first-ever official visit, marking the first bilateral visit by a Jamaican Prime Minister to the country.
The visit has strengthened ties between the two nations, expanding cooperation in multiple sectors, including technology, energy, education, and security.
To further deepen the relations between India and Jamaica, the Prime Minister, Andrew Holness, has invited Indian investors to explore business opportunities in Jamaica.

On this occasion, Minister Bartlett expressed, “The Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) anticipates that 2024 will mark a milestone year for the island as a premier wedding destination, with an increasing number of visitors selecting Jamaica as the ideal location to exchange vows.”
“The unique allure of Jamaica, citing its stunning natural beauty, vibrant culture and warm hospitality are the key factors driving the island’s popularity among couples seeking a memorable wedding experience,” he added.
By leveraging Jamaica’s diverse attractions and world-class amenities, the aim is to position the island as a top choice for couples planning their dream wedding.
The Government of Jamaica, in collaboration with its public bodies and industry stakeholders, recently observed the Tourism Awareness Week (TAW) 2024, running from September 22-28.
