IATO announces 38th Annual Convention from Sep 29th -2nd Oct

Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) has announced that 38th Annual Convention is scheduled to take place at Chhattrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad), Maharashtra from 29th September – 2nd October 2023.
‘Inbound Tourism and Emerging Sustainable Trends’ has been opted theme of the Convention. While elaborating on the convention, IATO President, Rajiv Mehra informed that Senior Vice President Rajnish Kaistha will be the Chairman of the Convention along with Hony. Secretary Sanjay RazdanJitendra Kejriwal – Chairman, IATO Maharashtra Chapter has been appointed as the Co-Chairman, whereas, Jaswant Singh, an IATO member from Aurangabad will be the Convention Coordinator.
The Convention venue will be Welcomhotel Rama International for all the activities on all the three days, from registration for the Convention, inaugural function, business sessions to evening programmes. The Convention will also have five post convention tours for the delegates to explore Maharashtra first hand.
According to IATO Vice President, Ravi Gosain about 900-1000 delegates are expected to participate from across the country which will include senior officials from the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India and States, industry leaders, tourism and hospitality professionals including travel trade media.
Formerly known as Aurangabad, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar is one of the famed and most sought after tourist destination in Maharashtra. Jotted with a plenitude of ancient and historic monuments, this quaint city wears a rustic charm of the past and still holds to its roots.
Ellora Caves, Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga Temple, Bibi Ka Maqbara, Aurangabad Caves, Bhadra Maruti, Jain Temple in Ellora caves are some of the prominent tourist attractions of the city.
The culture of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar is heavily influenced by the culture of Hyderabad. The old city still retains the cultural flavour and charms of Muslim culture of Hyderabad. Its influence is reflected in the language and cuisine of the locals.
