The Hotel & Restaurant Association of Odisha had conducted its 33rd AGM-cum-Election FY 2023-25 recently at Bhubaneshwar. All the 30 Districts of Odisha have representation with 31 EC Members, 07 Vice Chairman and 08 Jt. Secretary.
Jonathan Raul, Bhubaneswar was elected as Vice Chairman (Head Quarters), Tarini Prasad Mohanty, Bhubaneswar as Vice Chairman for Central Zone-1, Raj Kishore Patra, Puri as Vice Chairman for Puri Zone, US Panigrahy, Berhampur as Vice Chairman for South Zone, Sankar Acharya Pradhan, Angul as Vice Chairman for West Central Zone, Ashis Palit, Jharsuguda as Vice Chairman for Western Zone, Sarosh Bodhanwalla, Balasore as Vice Chairman for Northern Zone.
Meanwhile, Millind Gupta Bhubaneswar was elected as Secretary General, while Sujit Kumar Mohapatra was selected as Treasurer, Prasant Kumar Jena was chosen as the Joint Treasurer and Dr. Srinibash Subudhi, Bhubaneswar was elected as Working President.
The HRAO affiliated with the Federation of Hotel & Restaurant Association of India (FHRAI) and Hotel & Restaurant Association of Eastern India (HRAEI) has not only been successfully working in close cooperation with the Central and the State Government for the development and promotion of tourism but also imparting knowledge to members on the new laws formulated by the government and other bodies from time to time and also promotes fairs and festivals across the state through its members.
Started in the year 1984 with six members HRAO today has a membership of 286 from across the State.
