Gaurav Singh has been appointed as the General Manager of JW Marriott Kolkata and Cluster General Manager, Bangladesh. In his current role, Gaurav will oversee all aspects of operational management and will be responsible for enhancing the productivity and guest satisfaction and implement strategic initiatives for the hotel. Additionally, he will also administer the portfolio of hotels in Bangladesh.
Having gained substantial experience in a career span of close to two decades, Gaurav Singh brings with him a wealth of knowledge in hotel management, administration and operations. Being an alumnus from the prestigious Mayo College, Ajmer, Gaurav completed his graduation in Hotel Management from WGHSA, Manipal and holds a Diploma in Hotel Management from WMI, Gurgaon as well.
Gaurav kick started his career in 2000, in the capacity of Beverage Manager and in a short span of time became the Banquet Manager, and later the Food & Beverage Manager at ITC Grand Maratha and ITC Grand Central, Mumbai. Here on, in 2005 he moved on to Oberoi Group; where he joined in the capacity of Food & Beverage Manager at The Oberoi Amarvilas, Agra and later went on to acquire the position of Executive Assistant Manager – F&B.
Following his stint in Agra, he was positioned in The Oberoi Amarvilas, Udaipur as Executive Assistant Manager. This was followed by a brief stint at The Leela Palace & Resorts in 2011, where he was stationed as the Resident Manager at Leela Kempinski, Mumbai.
He joined the Marriott family in the year 2013, when he moved to Courtyard Ahmedabad in the capacity of General Manager.
