The Association of Domestic Tour Operators of India (ADTOI) has launched its eleventh state chapter in Tamil Nadu on February 13, 2020 at a ceremony held in Chennai. The launch ceremony was graced by Chief Guest Thiru. K. Pandia Rajan, Hon’ble Minister of Tamil Development, Culture, Archaeology, Govt. of Tamil Nadu and Guest of Honour, Thiru. V. Krishnamoorthy, Deputy High Commissioner of Sri Lanka, including the ADTOI delegation of 11 Managing Committee members led by P P Khanna, President of the association.
Thiru. Saravanan Karathihayan, Consulate General of Malaysia, Dr. V Irai Anbu IAS, Addl Chief Secretary, Director – Anna Institute of Management, Government of Tamil Nadu, Officials from Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, officials from national associations of TAAI & TAFI, invitees from local travel, tourism & hospitality fraternity were also present on the occasion.
The center leadership of the association has announced Kalaimamani V.K.T. Balan of Madura Travel Service Pvt. Ltd., as the Chapter Chairman supported by P. Ashok Kumar as Secretary, Vishnu Vasanth Kumar as Treasurer and R. Saraswathi as Lady Entrepreneur (LEO).
Tamil Nadu remains as one of the top 10 States receiving domestic tourists in the country. Most visited places in Tamil Nadu are Mahabalipuram, Ooty, Kodaikanal, Madurai, Rameshwaram and Kanyakumari. The State has Historical/Heritage site, best pilgrim sites, wild parks, Beaches, waterfalls, Hill Stations etc. ADTOI members on PAN India basis have been promoting the state since long.
Association of Domestic Tour Operators of India (ADTOI), National Body of Domestic Tour Operators, constituted on 7th August 1996 with the express purpose of consolidating the efforts of all those tour operators who are actively engaged in the promotion of Domestic Tourism in the country. Currently having 780 members the association aims to have more members in the near future.
