ACTE New York Global Summit update amid Coronavirus outbreak
Given current developments, and the recent ban on large events in New York, the organizers are exploring contingencies such as hosting the event through an alternative engagement platform.
Looking at the impact of COVID-19 outbreak which has affected more than 120 countries and has been declared a pandemic by the World Health Organisation (WHO), the Association of Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE) has issued a media statement to update the industry stakeholders on the upcoming ACTE New York City Global Summit scheduled to be organized from April 26 – 28, 2020 at New York Marriott Marquis.
In the statement released by ACTE, Leigh Bochicchio, Executive Director says: “We are continually monitoring the COVID-19 outbreak ahead of the New York Global Summit. As always, our number one priority is to ensure the safety of all attendees, as well as to be good citizens to help limit the spread of this illness.”
“Given current developments, and the recent ban on large events in New York, we are exploring contingencies such as hosting the event through an alternative engagement platform. The platform offers an immersive virtual environment to enable global audiences to listen to and engage with live content, network around topics of interest and connect with solution providers. We are also exploring alternative dates for an in-person event,” added Leigh Bochicchio.
“As our valued members and attendees, we will continue to update you as new information becomes available. We ask for your patience as we work through our plans,” concludes
Leigh Bochicchio.
